Effective awk Programming: Universal Text Processing and Pattern Matching.pdf
Written by Arnold Robbins, Unix expert and lead developer of "gawk," this thoroughly revised book covers the classic "awk" programming language used by system administrators, programmers, and webmasters to handle simple data-reformatting jobs with just a few lines of code. This book also serves the official documentation for "gawk" 4.1, the GNU version now considered the awk industry standard--available by default on Linux and nearly every Unix-like system. The Mac OS X version of awk is covered as well.
